Okay, I gotta be honest I skipped through parts of this one a bit cause it was getting boring.

It started out like the manga at first so i was happy to see things moving along in that direction and then they did more pointless story that didn’t take place in the manga.

I was surprised that Naruto didn’t sense that Utakata was a Jinchuriki before. I thought that they could sense that kind of stuff, but then again, he didn’t sense it in Gaara before, but that was a long time ago and Naruto has had more training since then.

The filler part was boring except for seeing Utakata go six tails and hold his own against Pein. That part I liked. They sprinkled in just enough story so that if you skip this episode you miss some key events. It all wraps up with each of the Jinchuriki pulling out one tail.

In the next episode it looks like we will be getting to the heart of the fight between fake Madara and Naruto as the Biju come out to play. Itachi and Kisame look to show up in a flash back and Gai sensei is there, which leads me to believe either flash back or they’re going through the story very quickly. Keep your fingers crossed for no filler next week.

I’ll give this episode 3 out of 5

If not for actually seeing the fight between the 6 tails and Pein it would have been 2, but there was just enough story in this episode and the battle was interesting enough to keep me watching. Here’s hoping they do better next week.

Sadly, not as awesome as last week’s episode was, but it wasn’t too bad either.

There was too much dialogue going on at the beginning which almost makes you think this will be a talky episode, but those who have read a head and know whats coming in the story know better, and so we stick with the episode because we know badassery is afoot.

The episode picks up about midway through with it’s action. And let’s face it the episode is called “the five kage assemble,” not “the five kage show up and fight.”

So I went into this one not expecting to see a lot. Sadly that’s one of the areas that I think the Ninja Storm games shine better than the anime. You get the 5 kage fight, and damn do you get it!

It ends with more orless how the manga chapter ended with Naruto and “Masked Madara” (like we don’t all know who he is now.) headbutting into each other.

Overall I give this episode a 3 out of 5

There was lots of dialogue and explanation, but not too unnecessary that it served no purpose. All dialogue moved the plot forward, and at least it wasn’t moving at a snails pace like Attack on Titan is.

That anime is frustrating. Seriously, if you like the anime DO NOT READ THE MANGA! Please just continue to enjoy the anime, once you are current you will hate the anime for moving so slowly.

So the next episode will be the Jinchuriki fight and judging from the title, it will have a bit to do with bubble boy the 6 tails jinchuriki.

Please god stick to the story, we get it, you met him before in the anime, but you didn’t in the manga so please do not make a whole episode about Naruto coming to terms with having to fight this guy.

That’s all for now guys, I’ll see you again when I review the manga.

So , if you didn’t know. The fillers in the anime for this year finally ended at episode 321 so you should definitely hop onto Crunchyroll and check out the anime starting there.

Now onto this episode.

OMG!!! This is why we watch anime. So much action going on in this episode and the animation was not the crappy Pein vs six tailed Naruto animation we saw before.

Madara shows up at the battle field and lays waste to every thing like I knew he was going to, but this is where I think the anime exceeds the manga.

The manga does a good job of being engaging and quicker to get through the story, and it definitely has just as much emotional draw, but when it comes to the action the anime wins hands down.

This is one of the times that I am not mad at the animation team for adding more to it.

In the manga Madara laid waste yes, but it was quick and focused too much on the attacks and Jutsus he used.

First you see Madara just jumping in using hand to hand and basic weapons, and just owning every ninja he comes across. This really drives it home that he has more than earned his reputation as being god like. And let’s face it, he is the best Sharringan user by far just by this episode alone. He doesn’t even put Susano’o out for a while and when he does he just starts massacring everything in sight.

When he does finally unleash the Rinnengan it seems he’s already wiped out half of the troops there. And when he does finally summon “meteor” it’s just because he wants to look flashy. And when the second one hits it’s made more dramatic by how hard Oonoki had to work to stop the first one and the after math.

In the manga we really didn’t get to see just how much damage Madara did to the shinobi forces. Seeing so many dead or injured ninja really brought the point across.

The conversation between Madara and Kabuto through Muu also seemed to be a way to help the story continue forward instead of a break from the action to explain what’s going on, and then we go back to the action. Or in terms everyone here can get. It didn’t feel like kidney punch, kidney punch, kidney punch, and pause… stomach punch style of fighting.

But this is just my opinion, and I want to know yours. So leave a comment and let me know what you thought of the episode.
